The City of Cedar Rapids is currently recruiting for a Planner II. 

This position provides professional assistance for a range of metropolitan planning organization related activities with an emphasis in bicycle, pedestrian, and transit planning to promote alternative transportation and a healthy community; performs related work as required.

The work schedule for this position is M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The annual salary range for this position is $49,171.20 – $67,516.80.

Required Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or a closely related field; and some experience with an urban planning agency or firm; or Master’s Degree in Urban Planning or a closely related field; and one year of professional or intern experience with an urban planning agency or firm; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
